Position Summary
Progressive Life Center is seeking a Regional Director to supervise and manage program directors of various social services programs. The incumbent will strategize and direct social service programs within the Maryland region.
An ideal candidate will have the ability to embrace and implement PLC’s core values and principles, a strong business focus, ability to forecast, and assist with programmatic growth in the region.
Position Responsibilities
- Executive direction overall for Kinship Care, Family Preservation, Adolescent Clubhouse, Independent Living, Foster Care, Domestic Violence Training, and Family Connections programs.
- Serves as Program Director of one or two programs.
- Supervise and evaluate Program Directors and other staff members.
- Actively participate in agency leadership meetings.
- Plan, along with other PLC personnel, for the development of regional programmatic, fiscal and facility needs.
- Communicate, interpret, and ensure staff compliance with PLC philosophy, policy and procedures.
- Assure NTU™ is embedded in program policies, procedures, and service delivery.
- Assure adherence to program budgets and contract requirements.
- Assure achievement of program goals and objectives.
- Plan and conduct regular program staff meetings.
- Coordinate and communicate regularly with referral source as well as PLC team members.
- Attend scheduled meetings and trainings consistently and promptly.
- Work with human resources to hire & terminate all personnel within program operations.
- Represent PLC at appropriate meetings.
- Assist CPD on business development opportunities.
- Implement policies and guidelines for data management.
- Conduct audits on the information entered into database systems (e.g., FamCare, CJAMS, etc.).
- Enter data into database systems, when necessary.
- Participate in quality assurance committees.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Sensitivity to and competence in the cultural differences that are present among PLC’s service population.
- Ability to forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families in which they are helped to gain the skills and confidence to address any issues and problems they face.
- Ability to work in partnership with other team members.
- Ability to set limits and maintain the helping role of the practitioner and to intervene appropriately to meet the needs of the persons served or other family members.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work, health, mental health, social services or administration.
- Licensed Certified Social Work-Clinical (LCSW-C) required.
- Experience with leading and developing Program Directors.
- Professional experience in management in Health/Mental Health/Social Services.
- Knowledge and experience in quality assurance and outcomes-based management.
- Advanced skills in contracts development, negotiations, fiscal budgeting & management.
- Experience with managed care systems preferred.
- Experience successfully interacting with diverse staff and external stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written expressive skills.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft 365 and databases.
- Ability to travel within the Washington Metropolitan area and other PLC offices.
- Certification in NTU™ Service Delivery Model within one (1) year of hire.
