Job Description
What You’ll Do:
• Prepare patients for dental procedures by ensuring comfort and explaining what to expect during their visit.
• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments.
• Sterilize dental instruments and prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist and ensure all images are of diagnostic quality.
•Update patient records with information about treatments performed, procedures scheduled, and any concerns raised by patients.
• Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions and guidance on oral hygiene and preventive practices.
• Prepare and mix dental materials such as fillings, impressions, and bonding agents as needed for procedures.
• Manage appointment scheduling, patient communications, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment, adhering to all infection control protocols
Salary Range
Full-time $22 - $25 per hour
Salary based on experience.
Shift & Schedule
Work Hours:
• Tues, Wed, Fri: 9 AM – 6 PM
• Sat: 9 AM – 2 PM
Requirements
- Experienced Dental Assistant (2+ years)
- Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant
- X-ray / Radiography Certification
What We’re Looking For:
• 2+ years of experience in dental assisting
• Proficient in making temporary crowns, taking impressions, and pouring up
• X-ray certified & skilled in tray setups
• HIPAA & OSHA certified with knowledge of dental instruments & sterilization methods
Preferences
• Strong understanding of health & safety regulations
• Excellent communication & people skills – because patient care comes first!
• Well-organized, reliable, and flexible
