PILLAR ONE Fire Solutions LLC is a new and up-and-coming fire alarm company with 30+ years of experience in the fire alarm industry. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated, dependable, and ambitious Low Voltage Helper to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who may be new to the fire alarm industry but has the drive, work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Our goal is not simply to hire a helper—we want to develop the right person into a highly skilled A1 Fire Alarm Technician. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the company and build a long-term career in the fire alarm industry.
Transportation RequirementA reliable personal vehicle is REQUIRED for this position. You must have your own dependable transportation to travel to various job sites. Our work takes us to different locations, and reliable transportation is an essential part of the job.
Where You'll WorkOur projects can take place in a variety of environments, including:
New construction sites
Commercial buildings and facilities
Schools and institutional facilities
Residential facilities
Other locations where fire alarm and low-voltage systems are installed or serviced
You should be comfortable working in active construction environments and around other trades.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Low Voltage Helper, you will work alongside experienced technicians to assist with the installation of fire alarm systems. Responsibilities may include:
Assisting with the installation of fire alarm systems
Pulling and routing low-voltage/fire alarm wire
Running and installing conduit
Making wire terminations and connections
Mounting fire alarm devices and equipment
Installing and supporting fire alarm system components
Assisting technicians with testing and troubleshooting
Reading plans and identifying device locations
Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Following company safety procedures and job-site requirements
Working safely around other construction trades and equipment
Learning proper installation techniques and industry standards
Performing work from ladders, lifts, and scaffolds
This position requires the ability to work in different physical environments and safely perform tasks at various heights.

Must be comfortable working with your hands
Must be willing to learn the installation of low-voltage and fire alarm systems
Must be able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Must take pride in doing quality work
Must be willing to learn proper tools, materials, installation methods, and industry standards
Must be comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and scaffolds
Previous low-voltage or fire alarm experience is a plus, but not required

PILLAR ONE Fire Solutions will help you understand what tools are required for the trade and help you build the proper tool set as you develop your skills.
You will receive hands-on experience with:
Fire alarm systems
Low-voltage wiring
Device installation
Cable routing and termination
Conduit installation
Fire alarm panels and equipment
Testing and troubleshooting
Reading plans and understanding device locations
Proper installation practices and industry standards
