Location: The sales, marketing and social media internship will be fully remote, and you will need access to a personal computer equipped with a webcam, excellent internet service, a designated home workspace and time management skills. We are gladly accepting applications from talented prospective college interns interested in a remote opportunity from throughout the United States. We are located in California and interns will be involved with the national launch and specifically cover one of the 40 golf regions in the country.
About the Company
PDMGolf is a start-up that has developed the Private Direct Marketing platform that will change how companies market their available inventory prior to expiration. The golf industry will be the first to use the platform to increase revenue by reducing daily unused tee times. The platform is unique and will introduce a process for golf courses to privately market their tee times to consumers that have preselected them.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in college or recently graduated
Majoring in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
Interest in Sales & Marketing and Social Media
Excellent written and verbal communication
Creative, curious, organized, proactive, reliable and eager to learn
Basic design and photography/video skills (Photoshop, Canva or similar)
Strong customer service and organizational skills
Self-directed and results driven
Self-directed leader who takes initiative and a solutions-oriented approach
At least 1 year of college education (preferred)
Benefits
This internship is unpaid and eligible for academic or course credit if approved by your educational institution prior to June 24, 2026. Students are encouraged to apply for fellowships or stipend programs offered by their universities. PDMGolf will support your university’s internship, fellowship and stipend requirements.
Training will include an overview of sales, business development, marketing, networking, social media strategy, operations and finance. Upon completion of the internship, it is our hope that the knowledge learned and first hand experience will provide great value and expertise towards future career endeavors.
What’s This Internship All About?
As a Sales, Marketing & Social Media Intern, you will be working directly with our knowledgeable and experienced team in all aspects of the business. You will have the opportunity to meet with the golf course management in person and using Proton Meet. Interns will experience both success and failure in meetings without the pressure to only succeed. Learning how to adapt to the different personalities you will encounter in meetings will help you greatly in the future. Everyone on our team will benefit from your meetings no matter what their success or failure.
An effective elevator pitch can be the difference between making a meaningful connection and a lost opportunity. Having a good answer to questions about what you do for work or what you are most interested in could very well lead to your next opportunity. We will teach you to develop a 30-second elevator pitch about you that is brief, memorable and interesting.
The Summer internship begins on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at 6:30 pm PT. The only required meeting for the internship is our weekly Sunday night Proton Meet video conference from 6:30-8:30 pm PT. Your schedule will be flexible with the expectation that you will work 15-20 hours each week. The internship is 5-10 weeks (flexible) and will conclude as early as July 24, 2026 with an opportunity to extend into September.
