Job description
About the Role:
Join PCIFIC PET CARE INC as a Veterinary Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in providing compassionate care to our furry patients. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a dedicated team in beautiful Camarillo, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners and clients.
- Monitor and care for animals post-treatment and during recovery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic.
- Educate pet owners on proper care and health practices.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; veterinary assistant certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Basic knowledge of animal health and behavior.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification for pets is a plus.
