Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager
Plant City, FL (Hybrid)
Plant City Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing Commercial Lines team.
This position offers the opportunity to manage a significant middle-market book of business while working directly with agency ownership in a collaborative, relationship-driven independent agency environment. About the Role
This position will be responsible for managing and servicing a middle-market commercial insurance book consisting primarily of:
- Construction & Trades
- Agriculture
- Retail
- General Liability
- Workers' Compensation
- Property & Casualty Programs
The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while maintaining strong carrier relationships and ensuring the agency continues to deliver exceptional service and retention results.
Responsibilities
- Manage a commercial book of business ranging from approximately $6M-$10M in premium
- Oversee renewals, marketing, account servicing, and client retention
- Review coverage needs and develop insurance solutions for commercial clients
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers and underwriters
- Provide technical expertise and support on complex accounts
- Assist with departmental workflows and account management best practices
- Serve as an escalation point for challenging account issues when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and account activity within agency systems
What We're Looking For
- Active Florida 2-20 License
- 8+ years of Commercial Lines experience preferred
- Strong middle-market account management experience
- Experience handling construction, contractor, agricultural, or similar commercial accounts
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining service excellence
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to professional standards
