About the Role:
Join PASTRY LAND BAKERY INC as a Cake Decorator in our fast-paced production bakery located in Smithfield, RI! This exciting opportunity allows you to unleash your creativity while working with a passionate team dedicated to crafting beautiful and delicious cakes.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and decorate a variety of cakes for special occasions and daily sales.
  • Utilize various icing techniques to create visually appealing cake designs.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the decorating area.
  • Collaborate with production staff to ensure timely cake preparation and delivery.
  • Assist in inventory management of decorating supplies and ingredients.
  • Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in all cake products.
  • Engage with customers to fulfill custom cake orders and special requests.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to enhance decorating skills.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a cake decorator in a bakery or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cake decorating techniques and tools.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating visually stunning cakes.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Culinary degree or certification in baking and pastry arts is a plus.
