We are seeking a proactive and experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and oversee all EHS programs at our Matteson, IL location. This mid-level role (Assistant Manager to Manager) is responsible for ensuring full compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, promoting a strong safety culture, and implementing effective workplace safety initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient EHS professional with proven experience in safety management, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance, capable of working independently without additional training. Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire

Location: Southern Chicago, IL (On-site)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Level: Mid-level (Assistant Manager to Manager)
Salary: $70,000–$120,000 / year (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage EHS programs, workplace safety, and OSHA compliance
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industry Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or related field.
• Proven experience in EHS, safety management, and OSHA standards
• Fully trained and able to work independently (no training required)
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
