Behavioral Health Medical Biller & Credentialing Specialist (Remote)

We’re hiring an experienced Behavioral Health Medical Biller who can jump in with no training needed. This role is ONLY for candidates with mental health billing experience—not general medical, dental, or hospital billing.

What You’ll Do

• Manage full‐cycle billing for therapy services
• Submit and track claims using TheraNest and/or SimplePractice
• Handle denials, rejections, ERAs/EOBs, and A/R follow‐up
• Verify benefits and check claim status using Availity (must be high proficiency level)
• Credential and recredential therapists with commercial payers, Medicaid, and Medicare
• Maintain CAQH, NPPES, and payer documentation

What You Must Bring

• 2+ years of behavioral/mental health billing experience only
• Strong knowledge of therapy CPT codes, modifiers, and payer rules
• Proven experience credentialing therapists
• Advanced Availity skills
• Ability to work independently and start contributing immediately

Nice to Have

• Experience with group practices or multi‐state credentialing
• Familiarity with telehealth billing
