ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include thefollowing.
- Reports to Plant Manager
- Receives, tests, releases for use, and unloads AmmoniumNitrate solution from railcars or trailers.
- Monitors, records,and maintains the operation of a nitrous oxide production facility with inStandards of Control
- Troubleshoots and corrects production conditions that areoutside of the Standards of Control
- Collects product samples from storage tanks - Usesvalidated analytical methods and gas chromatography to determine productconformance to written standards
- Compiles batch production records, performs tests, andprepares Storage Tank Conformance Reports
- Releases Conformedstorage tanks for use following review by Quality Control
- Samples returned bulk trailers for suitability tostandards and releases trailers for reloading
- Reports non-conforming trailer to plant manager
- Loads bulk trailers
- Takes samples, performs tests, and prepares Certificatesof Analysis for loaded trailers.
- Releases trailers for distribution following review byQuality Control
- Performs scrubber solution maintenance and documentsaction
- Performs dryer maintenance and documents action
- Receives chemicals, parts and components, in accordanceto published procedures
- Demonstrates ability to start up the plant and to shutdown the plant under normal and emergency conditions
- Assists in plant maintenance
- Assists in development of operating procedures
- Maintains personalcompliance with FDA, DOT, OSHA EPA and other governmental regulations
- Complies with Matheson's Medical Procedures; SafetyProcedures and Environmental Procedures
- Receives customer complaints and begins response process
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards

TECHINICAL EXPERTISE: - High School diploma orequivalent - Must be able to perform mathematical exercises of moderatecomplexity - Able to pay attention to details - Aims for total accuracy inrecords and reports - Ability to determine cause and effect in plant operation- Experience in plant operation and industrial environment - Knowledge ofinstruments and test equipment - Basic computer skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Moderate work - Climbing, stooping,turning and lifting up to I 00 lbs. possible - May be required to work ininclement weather - May be required to spend a great deal of time on his/herfeet - May be required to wear respirator - May be required to work shifts-
Must be able to carry 50lbs or more(buckets, hoses, cylinders). Must be able to walk periodically to take plantreadings. Must be able to perform tasks while wearing PPE.
