Work Environment

This position allows for a flexible and supportive work setting, operating primarily in a remote capacity. While you will engage with colleagues via telehealth platforms and video conferencing tools, opportunities for in-person collaboration will be available at our outpatient office in Spokane, ensuring accessibility and connectivity with the team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough counseling sessions with patients affected by chronic pain, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to develop individualized treatment plans that address patients’ unique circumstances.
• Empower patients by encouraging their active participation in pain management initiatives and health improvement strategies.
• Guide patients in recognizing and addressing the emotional aspects of chronic pain, providing coping strategies and emotional support.
• Assist patients in identifying and implementing lifestyle changes that foster self-care and overall wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this critical role, you will work with a diverse group of patients struggling with chronic pain due to various medical conditions. You will be instrumental in improving their mental health and quality of life, addressing not only the psychological ramifications but also collaborating on practical pain management strategies. Our patient focus includes those requiring long-term emotional support and those seeking proactive lifestyle changes to improve their wellness journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in Washington State.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and foster trust with patients.
• Proficiency in working with telehealth platforms and remote communication tools.
• Commitment to a patient-centered approach, focusing on the individual needs and emotional well-being of each patient.

Preferred Experience

• At least 3 years of experience providing counseling to individuals experiencing chronic pain or related conditions.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and willingness to implement innovative techniques in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits

Override Health offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience.
