Our Beginning School and Moai School are seeking an experienced Teacher Coach & Educational Leader to provide coaching, mentorship, and educational leadership across two unique early learning communities.

This position supervises and supports Teachers, Pedagogistas, Atelieristas, and Language Specialists across both schools with support from the Pedagogistas.

Our Beginning School is a Reggio Emilia–informed, non-sectarian early childhood community serving children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age. We believe children are capable, competent, curious, and full of potential.

Moai School is a Christian early learning community that combines inquiry-based learning, strong relationships, and a deep respect for children with Christian values and faith-based principles.

Internally, this role serves as the Pedagogical Coordinator for both schools.

Position Overview

The Teacher Coach & Educational Leader serves as the pedagogical leader for both schools, supporting educators through coaching, observation, curriculum development, documentation, reflective dialogue, and professional learning.

The ideal candidate is an experienced educator who values relationships, collaboration, inquiry, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach, mentor, and support Teachers, Pedagogistas, Atelieristas, and Language Specialists.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide reflective feedback.
  • Support professional growth and staff development.
  • Guide Reggio Emilia–inspired and inquiry-based practices.
  • Support curriculum development, documentation, and learning environments.
  • Facilitate professional learning and pedagogical discussions.
  • Build strong partnerships with families and educators.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, reflection, and educational excellence.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in early childhood education.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, supervising, or leading educators.
  • Strong understanding of child development and inquiry-based learning.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Reggio Emilia–informed program.
  • Experience facilitating professional development and adult learning.
  • Experience with pedagogical documentation and emergent curriculum.


Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a classroom environment with young children (infants–5/6 years)
  • Frequent sitting on the floor, kneeling, crawling, squatting, bending, twisting, turning, reaching overhead/shoulder, and standing
  • Ability to lift, carry, and safely assist young children (up to 45 lbs.)
  • Ability to walk and move quickly, and respond to children’s needs
  • Ability to actively engage in both indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to maintain visual and audio supervision of children at all times- including active supervision.
  • Ability to hear and respond to children and environmental sounds
  • Ability to sustain energy and engagement throughout a full workday
  • Ability to enter data on keyboards/computers

Average Weights by Age (for reference):

  • 1 year (infants/toddlers): ~20–25 lbs
  • 2 years: ~25–30 lbs
  • 3 years: ~30–35 lbs
  • 4 years (Pre-K): ~35–40 lbs
  • 5 years (Pre-K/Kindergarten): ~40–45 lbs
