At Osaka Chicago we are looking for a Floor Manager, who can lead, coordinate, and supervise the daily execution of all front-of-house operations, guest interactions, and the performance of direct supervisors, in accordance with established service standards, profitability goals, and internal procedures. Oversee and coordinate in-restaurant events and special functions, ensuring proper planning, execution, and alignment with operational capabilities. Guarantee an exceptional guest experience while maintaining high levels of operational efficiency and achieving the restaurant’s commercial and quality objectives.

What You'll Do

    • Ensure constant and active supervision across all dining room areas and shifts, guaranteeing proper operations, compliance with service standards, and continuous guest attention.
    • Lead proactive guest communication, addressing concerns and authorizing discounts or complimentary items when appropriate, to enhance guest satisfaction and uphold service standards.
    • Supervise and ensure compliance with daily operational checklists and training schedules, maintaining operational efficiency, service quality, and continuous staff development.
    • Ensure the availability of essential resources (equipment, inventory, and staffing) in all areas during each shift, guaranteeing smooth and uninterrupted operations.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for resolving operational issues or emergencies, including guest incidents, ensuring safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
    • Review, manage, and approve schedules for front-of-house operational staff, supporting efficient labor management and operational requirements.

    What We're Looking For

    • 2-3 years of experience in similar roles as Floor Manager.
    • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food handling regulations.
    • Strong understanding of sales strategies and service-driven revenue optimization.
    • Team leadership and people management skills.

    Additional

    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with POS systems.
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
    • Experience with restaurant management systems such as Inforest, Micros, Oracle, or similar platforms.
