Job description

What you'll bring to the team Keep the Magic Turning-From Behind the Scenes

Ever wondered what it takes to keep one of Orlando's most iconic attractions running smoothly and safely 400 feet in the air?

We're looking for a hands-on Engineering Technician to join our team and help maintain the heartbeat of The Orlando Eye. This is your chance to work on world-class attractions, cutting-edge systems, and immersive guest experiences-all while being part of a team that brings joy to millions.

Qualifications & Experience What You'll Be Doing

You'll play a critical role in ensuring our attractions and facilities are operating at peak performance:

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on rides, including the observation wheel and carousel
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems (24V DC - 480V AC)
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and ensure compliance with all health & safety standards
  • Work at heights (yes-this includes the wheel!) and in a variety of indoor/outdoor conditions
  • Maintain lighting, audio-visual systems, and site infrastructure
  • Support new installations, upgrades, and special engineering projects
  • Keep detailed maintenance records and ensure all work meets regulatory standards
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of hands-on engineering or technical maintenance experience
  • Background in mechanical, electrical, or controls systems (theme park or attraction experience is a plus!)
  • Comfortable working at heights and in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a safety-first mindset
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work with tools, ladders, and powered equipment
  • Ability to meet the physical requirement of weighing and maintaining less than 280 lbs (due to the weight limitations on the ladder(s))
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
BenefitsThe Perks of the Magic
  •  Fantastic Health Coverage: Enjoy comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits to keep you feeling your best.
  •  Generous Paid Time Off: Take the time you need to rest, recharge, and come back ready to create more unforgettable moments.
  •  Merlin Magic Pass: Share the fun with free entry for you, your family, and friends to our world-famous attractions.
  •  Recognition and Rewards: Your hard work does not go unnoticed. Celebrate your achievements with exciting recognition programs.
  •  401(k) Savings Plan: Build your future with our company-matched retirement program.
  •  Tuition Assistance: Pursue your passions with educational support and reimbursement programs.
