Role Description The Tourist Guide is a full-time, on-site role based in Huntington Beach, CA. In this position, the guide leads scheduled tours, provides clear and engaging commentary, and ensures guests’ safety and comfort throughout each excursion. Daily responsibilities include greeting groups, explaining itineraries, answering questions, and adapting tours to accommodate varying interests and needs. The guide also assists with basic logistics such as coordinating meeting points, monitoring timelines, and communicating with the operations team. Additional duties may include promoting additional tours or services, collecting feedback from guests, and maintaining a professional, welcoming presence that reflects the company’s standards.
Qualifications

• Ability to conduct Guided Tours, including route planning, group coordination, and live commentary.
• Strong Communication skills, with clear spoken English and the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Proven Customer Service skills, including patience, conflict resolution, and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Interest or background in local History and culture to provide informative and accurate narratives.
• Basic Sales skills to promote additional tours, services, or partner offerings in a respectful, guest-focused manner.
• Knowledge of Huntington Beach and Orange County attractions, outdoor activities, and safety practices.
• Ability to stand, walk, and be outdoors for extended periods, and to guide groups in varying weather conditions.
• Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, or education is beneficial; multilingual skills are a plus.
