Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their specific emotional and psychological needs.
• Provide both individual and group counseling sessions tailored to address the complex emotional issues that accompany aging.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, social workers, and other healthcare providers, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Educate family members and healthcare staff on best practices and strategies for improving the emotional well-being of seniors.
• Facilitate grief and loss counseling for individuals and families dealing with end-of-life concerns and transitions.
• Implement cognitive stimulation activities and evidence-based mental health interventions aimed at enhancing cognitive function and emotional health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on the elderly population who often grapple with various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and cognitive decline. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.
• A minimum of 4 years of recent and relevant experience specifically in geriatric counseling.

• Specialized training in geriatric mental health issues, including aging-related psychological challenges.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 65,000 to 95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a generous salary, a sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.
