Horticulturists on our team help bring life to the interior and exterior installations we care for. While you might jump on the occasional install or special project, your main focus is keeping our plant environments thriving and looking their best. A positive attitude, curiosity, enthusiasm, and a real love for plants is a must for this position. At the end of the day, the work you do helps our clients slow down, breathe a little deeper, and reconnect with nature in their everyday spaces.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead the team by conducting daily quality control walkthroughs at client sites
- Provide on-site direction, support, and training to team members to ensure consistency in plant care standards
- Serve as the primary point of contact for team questions, troubleshooting plant issues, and decision-making in the field
- Oversee route execution and ensure all scheduled services are completed efficiently and to company standards
- Identify areas for improvement within accounts and communicate recommendations to leadership
- Assist in onboarding and mentoring new horticulturist.
- Maintain accountability for team performance, quality of work, and client satisfaction across assigned accounts
- Travel to Nashville as needed for training
- Assess individual plant watering needs; provide water and fertilizer as required
- Scout for pests and implement appropriate treatments
- Dust, prune, and maintain plant foliage to ensure a clean and thriving appearance
- Assist with installations, including preparation, delivery, and placement of plants and materials
- Monitor and care for newly installed plants as they acclimate to their environments
- Submit weekly Horticulturist Reports detailing plant health, issues, and updates
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and their staff
- Demonstrate strong time management and efficiency across all responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Willingness to get your hands dirty!
- Ability to lift 30+lbs regularly
- Team player
- Basic knowledge of houseplants
- Comfortable working on a ladder
- Valid TX Driver's License and reliable form of transportation
- Strong work ethic, trustworthy, and an eye for detail
