Work Environment

The Outpatient Counselor position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting while being part of a collaborative community health clinic environment. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Optimal Psychiatric Clinic, your daily responsibilities will encompass a range of clinical and administrative activities:

  • Conduct in-depth assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of youth, adults, and families seeking outpatient therapy.
  • Provide individual and couples therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and case management activities to ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in social work, human services, or a related behavioral healthcare field.
  • Current certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of California with a minimum of two years of full-time, paid experience in chemical dependency, mental health, or adolescent treatment.
  • Proficient in delivering therapies and interventions for diverse clinical presentations, including individual and relationship dynamics.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, applicants with additional experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:

  • Working with couples, enhancing relational dynamics in therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
