Job Description Certified Radiologic Technician Location: Leavenworth, Kansas Employment Type: Part - Time | Permanent Position Overview A federal government facility is seeking a Certified Radiologic Technician to join its Health Services team on a part-time basis. The Radiologic Technician will perform diagnostic imaging examinations and support the day-to-day operation of the radiological clinic, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient imaging services for the patient population served by the facility. Key Responsibilities Performing diagnostic imaging examinations by operating x-ray machines Explaining the purpose, procedures, and positioning of imaging to patients Maintaining radiological equipment by performing routine operational checks and informing Health Services administration of any suspected or potential deficiencies or malfunctions Following national, organizational, and institutional safety protocols to protect patients and themselves from excessive radiation exposure Maintaining accurate records of imaging procedures and patient data, and effectively communicating health information to appropriate Health Services staff Managing the daily operation of the radiological clinic by verifying patient identification, producing lists of scheduled patients to custody staff, and coordinating movement of patients to and from the radiological clinic Position Offers PTO and STO (Paid Time Off & Sick Time Off) Health Contribution Flexible Schedule Federal Holidays Paid Qualifications Current ARRT certification (Radiography) and applicable state licensure Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Radiologic Technician Current CPR/BLS certification Ability to pass a federal background investigation and obtain facility credentialing/access as required by the contract site Strong attention to detail, patient communication skills, and the ability to work within a correctional or federal facility environment How to Apply Interested candidates should submit a current resume and copy of ARRT certification for consideration.
