Overview
On-Demand Group is currently seeking a Director of Enterprise Business Applications to lead the execution and day-to-day management of enterprise application solutions, including ERP, CRM, Project Management, and Field Service platforms. This role partners with business leaders and subject matter experts to standardize processes, improve data integrity, reduce manual work, and enhance reporting visibility while supporting a distributed operating company model. The Director ensures alignment with enterprise standards, owns application outcomes, and drives adoption, while collaborating with ERP project management teams responsible for day-to-day execution.
Requirements:
• 7–10 years of experience in ERP or enterprise business applications
• Experience managing both on-premise and SaaS solutions
• Proven ownership of ERP or core business application outcomes (finance, operations, inventory, service, or project costing)
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience partnering with project management teams (without direct PM ownership)
• Knowledge of integration methods (APIs, iPaaS, EDI, file-based integrations)
• Experience in multi-entity or distributed business environments
• Strong prioritization and portfolio management skills
• Experience managing system integrators, consultants, or VARs
• Knowledge of application lifecycle management (change, release, stabilization, adoption)
• Experience supporting M&A integrations and system migrations
• Understanding of governance, controls, and audit practices
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to create scalable processes and documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in equipment distribution or related industry
• Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments
• ERP certifications or platform-specific expertise
Responsibilities:
• Define priorities, scope, sequencing, and success criteria for application initiatives
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, technology standards, and business needs
• Act as escalation point for delivery risks, scope conflicts, and resource constraints
• Serve as functional owner for core ERP systems
• Partner with business leaders to define requirements and approve standard workflows
• Drive improvements in data quality, controls, and operational visibility
• Lead application integration strategy for new acquisitions
• Define system integration approach and sequencing across entities
• Communicate enterprise standards and allowable exceptions
• Own post-integration stabilization and success
• Manage enterprise application portfolio and intake
• Prioritize initiatives and balance capacity across projects
• Evaluate tradeoffs between enhancements, integrations, and technical debt
• Provide visibility into demand, progress, and risks
• Ensure reliability and performance of enterprise applications
• Prioritize remediation, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities
• Oversee application vendors and external partners
• Hold vendors accountable for quality, delivery timelines, and cost
• Support vendor selection, contracts, renewals, and performance management
• Ensure compliance with access governance, change management, incident management and root cause analysis, and audit and reporting requirements
• Promote documentation, standardization, and cross-training
• Ensure data is structured, reliable, and accessible for reporting and analytics
• Provide leadership to internal teams and external partners
The projected hourly range for this position is $95 to $105.
