Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
WillowWood Global LLC of Mesa, Arizona is seeking to hire a Manufacturing Maintenance and Facilities Technician responsible for ensuring all plant equipment, utilities, and facilities operate safely, efficiently, and reliably in support of production operations. This position plays a key role in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and building systems; supporting equipment installations and facility improvements; and assisting in maintaining compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
We offer our Associates a competitive wage, annual performance review and increase, and a complete benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k).
Summary
The Manufacturing Maintenance and Facilities Technician is responsible for all aspects of facility operations, maintenance strategy, and equipment reliability. This is a hands-on, non-supervisory role working under Engineering, responsible for preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, and corrective repairs to minimize downtime and support production. This role ensures all plant systems, utilities, and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably to support manufacturing operations and company growth. This position partners cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and EHS to drive continuous improvement, reduce downtime, and support operational excellence.
Essential Responsibilities
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance (Primary)
- Execute scheduled PMs on manufacturing and support equipment (e.g., lubrication, inspections, adjustments, filter changes, belt/chain checks, and basic verification checks).
- Document PM completion, findings, and follow-up actions in the CMMS/work order system.
- Identify developing issues and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Troubleshooting & Corrective Repair (Primary)
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures on production equipment (motors, drives, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, pneumatics/hydraulics, sensors, etc.).
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting (e.g., 24V controls, motor starters, relays, switches, VFD fault triage) and coordinate with Engineering/qualified resources for specialized controls work as required.
- Disassemble/replace components, reassemble, test-run equipment, and verify safe operation before releasing equipment back to production.
- Maintain accurate repair notes including symptoms, root cause (when known), parts used, and corrective actions.
- Facilities & Utilities Support (Secondary)
- Support upkeep and repair of building systems and utilities (basic HVAC support, compressed air, plumbing, lighting, doors/locks, carpentry, and general facility repairs).
- Assist with equipment installations, moves, and facility improvement work (mounting, anchoring, running basic utilities where permitted, coordinating shutdown windows).
- Coordinate with vendors/contractors as directed by Engineering (escort, safety requirements, and post-work verification).
- Safety, Quality, and Compliance
- Follow OSHA safe work practices including lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, PPE, and safe lifting/rigging practices.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas (5S mindset) and support compliance with site procedures and quality requirements.
- Communicate clearly with Engineering and Production regarding equipment status, risks, and repair timelines.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; technical school, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on industrial experience strongly preferred.
- Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in maintenance, facilities, or manufacturing operations.
- Proven track record of leading maintenance teams and managing preventive and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
- Demonstrated success in planning and executing capital and facilities projects.
- Experience with maintenance management systems preferred.
- Experience with ISO and/or FDA-regulated environments preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues.
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.

- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles preferred.
- Strong organizational abilities with focus on results and accountability.
Key Competencies
