Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • History and physical examination: Conduct patient interview and perform appropriate physical exam to develop the patient’s plan of care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic test results. Provide education to patient regarding results of diagnostic tests.
  • Make diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment.
  • Prescribe therapy and/or medication per practice’s algorithms.
  • Electronic Medical Record documentation: Provide accurate and thorough documentation of the office visit.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures-such as medication injections, wound care, trigger point injections, and infection management.
  • Supervise and coordinate appropriate duties of non-licensed clinical staff.
  • Address messages regarding patient complications, and/or medication refills.
  • Participate in clinical education opportunities
  • Act as preceptor to new hire providers
  • Maintain flexibility
  • Maintain licensing and prescribing duties by ensuring renewals and required continued education is completed.
  • Practice in a safe and compliant manner, in accordance to practice policies & protocols as well as your state/national regulatory licensing guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of pain management experience
  • Valid DEA License
  • Valid Arizona PA or NP licensure
  • Some travel required (local)
