Job Purpose:
- The Forklift Operator at OPERATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES AUTOMOTIVE is responsible for efficiently and safely operating a forklift to move materials, products, and equipment within the warehouse or production facility. This role ensures that all materials are handled in compliance with company safety standards and contributes to the smooth operation of the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery to transport goods and materials to designated areas.
- Load and unload products from delivery trucks, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by accurately recording material movements and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production targets.
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure the safety and integrity of all materials handled.
- Participate in training sessions and safety meetings to stay updated on best practices and company standards.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Proven track record of adhering to safety protocols and procedures in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with inventory management and warehouse operations is preferred.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse layout and logistics.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts, including counterbalance and reach trucks.
- Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on equipment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high levels of productivity.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling and moving materials.
- Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends and overtime, as required.
