Salary Range: $19.41 – $21.85 USD

Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Front Office Coordinator, you are the face of the practice—responsible for welcoming patients, navigating them through the healthcare system, and ensuring a culture of service excellence. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels in fast-paced environments and is passionate about providing a high-quality patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Arrival & Technology: Provide a warm greeting and guide patients through self-arrival technology or traditional check-in based on their preference.
  • Financial Coordination: Educate patients on co-payments and financial obligations; collect applicable payments at the point of service and verify insurance benefits.
  • Registration & Data Integrity: Update patient demographics and insurance coverage. Register patients in biometric programs and explain the benefits of the patient portal.
  • Continuum of Care: Schedule follow-up appointments and connect patients to resources for ancillary services during the checkout process.
  • Administrative Support: Manage phone triage, scan medical records, handle faxing, and perform other office duties to ensure smooth clinical operations.
  • Service Recovery: Act as an empowered advocate for patients, utilizing service recovery principles to resolve questions and ensure continuity of care.
Minimum Essential Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service function (Medical office experience with referrals strongly preferred).
  • Proficiency with personal computer-based applications and office equipment (proficient typing skills required).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to maintain strict adherence to HIPAA rules and regulations.
