Job Description

Position Title:ย School Psychologist Full-Time (Hybrid)

Department:ย Special Education / Student Services

Reports To:ย Director of Special Education

Work Schedule:ย Full-time; Five (5) days per week; Three (3) days in person and Two (2) days remote

Contract Type:ย Certified Staff

FLSA Status:ย Exempt

Position Summary

The Full-Time School Psychologist provides comprehensive psychological services to support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of students. The position collaborates closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive student outcomes while ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal regulations. Services are delivered through a hybrid model combining in-person and remote responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations in accordance with Indiana Department of Education and federal guidelines.
  • Prepare, interpret, and present written evaluation reports.
  • Participate in case conference committees (CCCs), IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings in person and virtually.
  • Consult with administrators, teachers, related service providers, and families to support student learning and behavior.
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs, FBAs, and BIPs.
  • Provide counseling and behavioral support services when included in student IEPs.
  • Assist with MTSS, data-based decision making, and building-level problem-solving teams.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential student records and documentation.
  • Comply with all district policies, professional ethical standards, and legal requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education.

Hybrid Work Expectations

In-person responsibilities include student assessments, observations, consultations, and required meetings essential to service delivery.

Remote responsibilities include report writing, record review, data analysis, and participation in virtual meetings. Availability and responsiveness are required during assigned work hours on both in-person and remote days.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology required.
  • Valid Indiana School Psychologist license required.
  • Strong knowledge of special education law, evaluation procedures, and best practices.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
  • Proficiency with educational technology and virtual platforms.
