ICF Administrator Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Licensed Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities (ICF/DD). In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of active treatment, clinical care, and emotional support for our residents. You will maintain full regulatory compliance with state and federal (CMS) guidelines while fostering a positive, person-centered culture for residents, families, and staff.

ICF Administrator Position Qualifications & Requirements:

License: Current, active Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license or state-equivalent ICF/DD Administrator certification in Illinois.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience in an ICF/DD, residential group home, or specialized healthcare setting.

Knowledge: Deep understanding of Medicaid regulations, CMS survey processes, and Person-Centered Planning.

Skills: Exceptional crisis management, communication, and budget management skills.

Clearances: Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, registry checks, and drug screening.

ICF Administrator Position Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance: Direct all facility operations to meet or exceed Department of Health, CMS, and ICF/DD state licensing regulations.

Quality Assurance: Lead the interdisciplinary team (IDT) to ensure the development, implementation, and monitoring of comprehensive Individual Program Plans (IPPs). Indother

Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and retain a high-performing team of direct support professionals (DSPs), nurses, and qualified intellectual disability professionals (QIDPs).

Financial Management: Oversee the facility budget, manage labor costs, monitor expenditures, and optimize resource allocation.

Resident Advocacy: Maintain an environment that protects resident rights, promotes independence, and guarantees a safe, clean, and comfortable home.

Community Relations: Serve as the primary liaison for families, guardians, state surveyors, and community stakeholders.
