As a remote position based at our Hospice Center, you will provide essential therapeutic services while enjoying the flexibility to tailor your work schedule to fit your lifestyle.

About the Organization

North Bay Social Work is a recognized leader in the field of behavioral health services, specializing in substance abuse treatment. Our mission is to deliver comprehensive, high-quality care that empowers individuals to overcome challenges and improve their mental well-being. Our team comprises seasoned professionals, equipped with advanced technology and evidence-based treatment methodologies, dedicated to fostering an environment of healing and support.

Work Environment

In this remote position, you will be part of a vibrant, collaborative team at our Hospice Center in Houston, Texas. Although your work is conducted from the comfort of your home, you will remain closely connected with colleagues, participating in regular virtual meetings to discuss patient care strategies and treatment outcomes. Our organization values work-life balance and encourages a flexible approach to scheduling, allowing you to define your working hours based on patient needs and your availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized psychotherapy to clients facing mental health issues in the context of substance abuse treatment.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop targeted treatment plans that employ best practices and solution-focused interventions.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), specifically designed for substance abuse recovery.
  • Maintain meticulous and compliant clinical records to support both patient care and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure integrated and coordinated care for all patients.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health resources and strategies to promote recovery and wellness.
  • Stay informed on the latest research in mental health and substance abuse treatment, applying new insights to enhance clinical practices.
  • Effectively manage your caseload, ensuring that treatment goals are met and ethical standards upheld.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse population of individuals grappling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our approach tailors interventions to each unique scenario, recognizing the multifaceted nature of recovery. Your role will significantly contribute to our clients' overall health and quality of life, empowering them to embrace positive changes and achieve their recovery goals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
  • Possession of a valid LCSW license in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience focusing on substance abuse therapy is essential.
  • Proficiency in solution-based interventions and an understanding of best practices in mental health treatment.
  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork aptitude are critical for success in this role.
Preferred Experience

While one year of experience is the minimum requirement, we strongly encourage candidates with additional experience in substance use treatment and a proven track record of clinical excellence to apply. Familiarity with specific electronic health record (EHR) systems and an understanding of telehealth practices would be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

North Bay Social Work offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, reflective of your experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, malpractice insurance coverage, and an employee assistance program to support your mental health. Additionally, our streamlined practice allows for minimal paperwork, enabling you to focus on your clients while maintaining a fulfilling work schedule.
