Job description

Nordic Catch is looking for a sharp, dependable, and highly accurate Warehouse Fulfillment Associate to pull and pack orders at our North Hollywood facility.

This is not a basic pick-and-pack position. We carry a large and constantly evolving catalog of premium seafood, meats, and specialty products. The right person must learn the catalog thoroughly, recognize important differences between similar products, and develop the judgment needed to pack perishable orders correctly and efficiently.

Every order is packed in-house and shipped directly to our customers. Accuracy matters at every step.

Responsibilities
  • Pull products accurately according to packing slips
  • Verify product type, quantity, size, and condition before packing
  • Learn and confidently identify our full product catalog
  • Select the correct shipping box based on the order’s size, weight, and contents
  • Determine the appropriate amount and type of coolant based on destination, transit time, weather, and whether products are fresh or frozen
  • Pack orders securely to maintain temperature and prevent damage during transit
  • Complete required quality-control checks before an order leaves the warehouse
  • Recognize and flag missing, damaged, mislabeled, or questionable products
  • Keep products, supplies, and workstations clean and organized
  • Restock packing materials and maintain an efficient workflow
  • Work quickly while maintaining a consistently high level of accuracy
  • Assist with receiving, inventory organization, and other warehouse duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
  • Extremely detail-oriented and accurate
  • Quick learner with strong product recall
  • Able to notice small differences and inconsistencies
  • Strong practical judgment and spatial awareness
  • Able to look at an order and quickly determine the best way to pack it
  • Comfortable making routine packing decisions without constant supervision
  • Organized, dependable, and able to follow established procedures
  • Able to maintain speed without taking shortcuts
  • Willing to take ownership of mistakes and learn from them
  • Comfortable working around refrigerated and frozen products
  • Previous warehouse, fulfillment, food-handling, or perishable-shipping experience is preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Remain on your feet and moving throughout the workday
  • Regularly bend, reach, lift, carry, and move products and shipping supplies
  • Lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Work in refrigerated and freezer environments for periods of time
  • Safely handle insulated packaging, ice packs, and dry ice after training
What Success Looks Like

A successful person in this role does more than match products to a packing slip. They learn the catalog, anticipate potential issues, choose the right packaging without wasting space or materials, and understand that small packing decisions can determine whether a perishable order arrives in perfect condition.

We are looking for someone who takes accuracy personally, works with urgency, and becomes more capable and independent over time.
