We're searching for someone dedicated to making a difference to join our Arts & Sciences Diploma team. We are looking for an experienced casual instructor to join the Arts & Sciences Instructional Team for the Fall 2026 Semester with the potential to continue for the Winter Semester teaching Political Science. 

This position requires in person teaching on Mondays 8:00-11:00 am and Thursday 9:30 am-12:30 pm. 

 
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Plan and prepare materials for the instructional delivery of POLS 1010 - Canadian Politics: Institutions and Issues.
• Instruct and evaluate students in POLS 1010 based on learning outcomes.
• Maintain student and program records for your section of POLS 1010.
• Monitoring student progress and providing timely feedback
• Collaborate with and contribute to the instructional team as needed.
• Communicate student concerns/issues to the Associate Chair and refer students to additional College services as required.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Master's degree or higher in Political Science or related field.
• If your education was received internationally, we recommend you obtain an international education assessment through IQAS, WES, or one of the other nationally designated organizations.
• Experience teaching under-represented student populations, such as Indigenous students.
• Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle (misiwe), Kaltura and/ or other educational technologies considered an asset, and software to teach online/hybrid if required.
• Curriculum development is considered an asset.
• Experience supporting Indigenous learners an asset.
• Teaching Experience: Prior experience teaching college students, with a strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional strategies

This is a Faculty role, and the pay range is quite large, check out the Faculty Collective Agreement Appendix A to better understand how pay is determined.
