Employment Status & Benefits Eligibility

• All hourly roles may be offered as full-time or part-time positions based on business needs
• Full-time team members are expected to work a minimum of 4 days per week
• Part-time team members receive 1 week of paid vacation annually
• Health, dental, and vision insurance is partially covered for hourly employees

The Role

We are hiring hosts who understand that the guest experience begins the moment someone walks through the door.

This role is responsible for setting the tone of the restaurant, managing guest flow, and ensuring that every guest feels welcomed, informed, and taken care of from arrival to departure.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Welcome and greet all guests in a warm, professional, and timely manner
• Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable
• Maintain accurate guest information, notes, and preferences
• Coordinate seating and pacing of the dining room
• Communicate accurate wait times and manage guest expectations
• Escort guests to tables and provide a smooth handoff to the service team
• Answer phones and assist with reservations and guest inquiries
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
• Communicate effectively with management, servers, and kitchen regarding flow and timing
• Monitor guest experience and escalate concerns to management when necessary
• Assist team members as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned

Job Description

• Act as the first and last point of contact for all guests
• Maintain organization of the reservation system and host stand
• Control the pace of the dining room through strategic seating decisions
• Ensure clear and consistent communication across all teams
• Maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced environment
• Be available to support operational needs as directed by management

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Experience with reservation systems (OpenTable preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to model and act in accordance with Noko Yaki guiding principles

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing and movement
• Frequent communication with guests and team members
• Ability to manage a high-energy environment
