Every day at Nobis, we see how community-centered solutions improve public health and support community revitalization and growth. We're an integrated consulting firm that solves engineering challenges for public and private projects of all sizes, and we're looking to grow our team. As an ESOP-a 100% employee-owned company-you'll be joining a great place to work with an active, supportive culture, steady project loads, and a strong focus on collaboration and embracing positive atmosphere.

    What You'll Do

    • Communicate with clients, state and local regulators, contractors, and subcontractors

    • Perform on-the-job training and mentoring of junior staff
    • Coordinate subsurface explorations including testing borings, test pits, cone penetration tests, and geophysical investigations for a variety of geotechnical engineering project types throughout New England
    • Communicate with Nobis' internal Resource Center Manager and Account Managers regularly on the status and performance of projects
    • Identify, prioritize, and build relationships that will support Nobis' long-term strategies for growth

    What You'll Need

    • A Bachelor of Science degree in geotechnical engineering or a civil engineering curriculum with a strong concentration in geotechnical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university. It is a plus to have a Master's degree with a concentration of geotechnical engineering
    • A minimum of 8 years experience is required of related experience and/or training.
    • Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) with specialized experience in geotechnical engineering is required
    • Knowledge of local regulations, building codes, AASHTO LRFD Bridge Manual, and construction practices in target markets
    • Must possess a valid driver's license, have own transportation, and be able to travel for project site visits, meetings, and training. Travel is highly dependent on project work requirements.

In addition to the position requirements stated above, preferred skills/experience include:

An additional 2 days may be used for community involvement and volunteering.

As part of your career advancement, you'll have access to professional development, mentorship, and leadership programs designed to help you grow.

In addition to our extensive benefits package, you will have access to all the advantages that come with working for an ESOP.
