Role Description The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach is a full-time, on-site role located in Blaine, MN. This role involves assisting in the design and delivery of strength and conditioning programs for youth, high school, collegiate, and adult athletes. Daily responsibilities include leading training sessions, demonstrating proper technique, monitoring athlete progress, and supporting injury prevention protocols. The coach will help track performance data, maintain training areas and equipment, and communicate program goals and feedback to athletes and, when appropriate, families or teams. Collaboration with other coaches to adjust programs based on athlete needs and seasonal demands is expected, along with occasional support for camps, clinics, and special events.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Sports Science and Athletic Performance to apply evidence-based training principles and assess athlete needs.
• Candidates should possess skills in Strength & Conditioning and Strength Training to design and implement effective, progressive workout programs.
• Candidates should possess skills in Injury Prevention to promote safe training practices and support return-to-play guidelines.
• Relevant certifications such as CSCS, USA Weightlifting, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
• Experience coaching athletes in a team or private training environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and instruct athletes of varying ages and abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, based on training schedule needs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or a related field is advantageous.
