Next Chapter Job Placement is recruiting for a full-time Radiation Therapist opportunity with a healthcare organization in Eureka, California.

This is an excellent opportunity for a certified Radiation Therapist interested in joining an established oncology team while providing high-quality, patient-centered cancer care.

Position Overview

Under the direction of department leadership, the Radiation Therapist will administer prescribed therapeutic radiation treatments and perform procedures necessary to prepare, plan and verify accurate treatment delivery using modern radiation therapy techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments safely and accurately
• Prepare and position patients for radiation treatment
• Perform treatment setup and verification procedures
• Operate radiation therapy equipment in accordance with established protocols
• Verify treatment parameters and maintain accurate patient treatment records
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists and other members of the oncology team
• Follow established radiation safety and quality-assurance standards
• Provide compassionate, professional care and education to patients throughout treatment

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved therapeutic radiologic technology training program
• ARRT certification required upon hire
• Current California Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification OR California Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification required upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional training or experience related to radiation treatment planning and therapeutic radiation techniques
• Previous radiation oncology experience preferred

• $111,904–$143,312 annual base salary
