Position Summary

Newco Welding is seeking a dependable Shop Welder to join our in-shop team in Baytown, Texas. This position is focused on producing clean, consistent welds and completing assigned welding work safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-shop fabrication and welding work.
• Complete MIG welds using 70S-6 hardwire and flux-core processes.
• Follow work instructions and meet weld-quality requirements.
• Inspect completed welds and correct defects when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow shop safety practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Hands-on MIG welding experience in a shop or production environment.
• Experience with MIG welding, including 70S-6 hardwire and flux-core.
• Ability to produce sound, consistent welds and pay close attention to quality.
• Dependable attendance, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well with a team.
• Commitment to safe work practices.
