Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental and emotional well-being, establishing a strong foundation for effective therapy.
  • Formulate tailored treatment plans by evaluating clients’ needs and goals, ensuring comprehensive care delivery.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions to clients across various age groups, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and trauma.
  • Facilitate couples therapy to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and enhance relationships, employing evidence-based interventions.
  • Regularly review and adjust treatment plans to align with clients’ progress, ensuring a responsive approach to their ongoing needs.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of client interactions and therapy sessions, including progress notes and treatment plans that adhere to industry standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care to clients.
  • Provide crisis intervention support as needed, equipping clients with coping strategies during times of acute distress.
  • Set an example of professional integrity by upholding strict confidentiality and ethical standards in all client interactions.
  • Engage in continuous education and professional development to remain current with best practices in marriage and family therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a therapist with New Wave Therapy Services, your client population will be diverse, ranging from adolescents to older adults, including couples navigating relationship challenges. Our focus is on providing tailored interventions that reflect cultural sensitivity and an understanding of individual backgrounds, thereby ensuring all clients receive the highest level of care and support.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is essential.
  • Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California is required.
  • Proven experience in delivering individual therapy and/or couples therapy to various demographics.
  • Strong ability to complete client assessments and treatment plans promptly and efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by the ability to learn and navigate electronic health record systems.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who experience depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues.

Compensation and Benefits
