Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify client needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that are evidence-based and tailored to each client’s unique situation and circumstances.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions using a variety of therapeutic modalities, ensuring to integrate culturally informed practices to enhance session effectiveness.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation, tracking client progress, and communicating with other care team members.
• Participate in regular team meetings and professional development activities to remain abreast of the latest research and methodologies in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at New Patterns Therapy, you will work with a diverse adult client population seeking assistance with a range of issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Our clients come from various backgrounds, which enriches the therapeutic process and presents opportunities for you to apply culturally relevant approaches in your practice.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active and valid license as a LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC in the state of California.
• A demonstrated minimum of two years of clinical experience delivering mental health counseling services.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and a commitment to employing evidence-based practices in therapy.

Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with experience working in telehealth settings or those with additional certifications in specialized therapeutic approaches will be given preference. Familiarity with culturally competent practices and sensitivity training is also highly valued, as it enhances the effectiveness of client engagement.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
