The job duties for the position consist of the following:
- Design and implement multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) to enable real-time analytics and AI-driven insights.
- Develop high-throughput data pipelines using Spark, Kafka, and Kinesis for predictive maintenance, grid optimization, and other data-driven applications.
- Lead cloud migration projects, optimizing performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure data governance, security, and regulatory compliance, including NERC-CIP and GDPR standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business objectives.
- Define and document technical design specifications and system implementation guidelines.
- Evaluate the utility and effectiveness of software and hardware technologies, recommending improvements to enhance system performance.
- Manage IT projects and system activities, coordinating software installation, configuration, and deployment.
- Monitor computer system performance to ensure reliability and proper functioning.
- Identify resource requirements for IT initiatives, including hardware, software, and personnel.
- Oversee hardware installation and infrastructure integration to support enterprise systems.
Experience Requirements:
- 6 years of experience in data architecture, cloud solutions, AI/ML.
- Expertise in AWS, Azure, Python, Scala, and distributed data processing.
- Experience in energy sector applications (smart grids, IoT, trading platforms)
Degree Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with a major in computer science or related field from an accredited institution with six years relevant experience, or a Master's degree, with a major in computer science or related field from an accredited institution.
- Telecommuting or remote work is acceptable.
