Position Overview

New Beginnings Behavioral Health is in search of a dedicated and experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our growing team in San Antonio, Texas. This full-time position is remote, allowing for flexibility while providing essential mental health services. As an LPC, you will be on the front lines of client care, conducting assessments, crafting personalized treatment plans, and guiding individuals on their path to recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to ascertain clients' mental health needs, employing standardized assessments and diagnostic tools.
• Collaborate closely with clients to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans that align with their personal goals and needs.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing various therapeutic techniques to foster engagement and progress.
• Work alongside interdisciplinary teams comprising psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive client care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and trust.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision, case reviews, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse clientele includes individuals dealing with a wide range of psychological challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, addiction, and trauma-related conditions. As an LPC at New Beginnings Behavioral Health, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of these clients by providing specialized therapies and support that encourage their emotional and mental growth.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license to practice in the state of Texas.
• A Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling or a relevant field from an accredited institution.
• Experience in conducting individual and group therapy sessions within a mental health setting.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport with clients from varying backgrounds and life experiences.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information and build trusted relationships.
• Commitment to ethical standards and a strong adherence to client confidentiality policies.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in addiction counseling or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
• Experience in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client information efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
