Our Client is an energetic, growing startup operating at the intersection of AI and filmmaking. Our technology uses generative AI to make it look like your favorite actor or actress is speaking another language, without subtitles or voice-overs, in a way that is indistinguishable from the original performance.
It doesn’t matter where you live or what languages you speak, audiences can now experience authentic storytelling exactly as the filmmaker originally intended through the magic of automated visual translation. We believe the most important breakthroughs in AI are unlocked only when we apply it to real-world use cases that reach millions of people and are generally available. This is our north star and guiding principle.
As a lead researcher on the science team, you will work with and lead a close-knit, passionate group of world-class individuals to tackle some of the most challenging problems in neural rendering.
Our work in automated visual translation is the tip of the iceberg, we’re developing countless exciting products based on the application of our proprietary, cornerstone research.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Visual Computing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related fields.
- Demonstrable research experience with a strong publication record in major Computer Vision and Graphics at venues such as CVPR, SIGGRAPH, or NeurIPS.
- Demonstrable 3+ years of research experience (industry preferable) with Deep Learning and Computer Vision in the following:
- Neural networks and transfer learning
- Un-supervised/Self-supervised learning
- Few/zero-shot learning esp. for image face synthesis
- Neural talking head synthesis
- Domain adaptation techniques esp. for image face synthesis
- 3D vision
- Proficiency with DL frameworks such as PyTorch, or Tensorflow
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience hiring, onboarding, and training team members ranging from new graduates to senior members of staff.
- 2+ years of experience leading research scientists ranging from new graduates to senior members of staff.
- Developed tools or solutions at scale for visual effects or real-world computer vision problems.
- Good communication skills to collaborate in a team with Researchers, ML engineers, and VFX artists.
