There is not a set # of days they need to come onsite per week, they will come in as needed when a closet needs to be evaluated. **** Looking for mid-level people who are okay doing a lot of documentation and not so much hands on work. **** Position Title: Network Build Engineer (Mid-Level) Location Information Dallas, TX (Hybrid Onsite; resource must be able to travel onsite for closet evaluations as needed; candidates may be located in Dallas, TX Position Responsibilities: As a Network Build Engineer, you will be responsible for scoping, configuring, and deploying wired and wireless infrastructure for new site builds and expansions. Your primary focus will be on executing network builds using Cisco, Meraki, and Aruba technologies while adhering to established standards and best practices. You will translate project requirements into workable infrastructure solutions and support all phases from planning through deployment. You will work closely with project managers and senior engineers, ensuring a seamless delivery and installation process.
  • Review project requirements and determine network build needs for new sites and site expansions.
  • Scope network infrastructure components required for implementation, including switches, access points, and supporting elements.
  • Configure and deploy wired and wireless network solutions, maintaining compliance with existing standards and protocols.
  • Build, configure, and deploy Cisco and Meraki switching and wireless device environments.
  • Perform configuration on Meraki dashboard, including creation and build out of sites.
  • Deploy and support Aruba wireless solutions, including device setup and integration.
  • Conduct wireless scoping, develop detailed access point placement plans, and utilize AP planning tools as required.
  • Execute on-site installations, with a limited necessity for advanced troubleshooting.
  • Validate installed builds to confirm operational excellence and successful deployment.
  • Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers at every stage of project delivery, sharing documentation and information as needed.
  • Document all configurations and as-built network information clearly and accurately.
Essential Skills, Experience
  • Five to six years of hands-on experience in executing network builds, from initial planning through to deployment and validation.
  • Demonstrated capability with Cisco wired and wireless networking technologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of Cisco Meraki environments and dashboard configuration.
  • Experience deploying or supporting Aruba wireless solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of site requirements assessment and translating scope into actionable deployment steps and plans.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to adhere to structured, repeatable build processes.
  • Proven success working within project-based delivery and execution environments.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with broader project teams as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (highly preferred); equivalent combination of training and hands-on experience considered.
  • Direct experience with wired and wireless networking, including configuration, deployment, and validation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience building and supporting networks for healthcare, clinic, or branch/remote site environments.
  • Exposure to wireless survey techniques and/or use of access point planning tools.
  • Involvement with site expansions or network refresh project cycles.
  • Professional services, consulting, or client-facing network delivery experience.
  • Familiarity with advanced networking and monitoring tools such as Cisco ISE, ThousandEyes, and SolarWinds (a plus).
