Job Details:

We are seeking candidates with experience in the MEP/HVAC/Energy Consulting industry. The candidate must have a working knowledge of HVAC systems. Additionally, the candidate should have a combination of technical expertise and strong communication skills. The candidate will lead multiple projects and deliver them on time and within scope.

Essential Job Functions – Operational Duties:

  • Perform energy audits, retro-commissioning, and assist with MEP design projects.
  • Review and perform engineering analysis/energy savings calculations utilizing Microsoft Excel and eQuest energy modeling software to produce tangible deliverables.
  • Analyze utility bills to identify building energy consumption and potential opportunities for reduction.
  • Perform feasibility, energy savings, and cost-benefit financial analyses for potential energy conservation measures.
  • Conduct field surveys of existing mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Design of mechanical systems for the built environment for various types of projects, including institutional, healthcare, multifamily, and commercial.
  • Develop detailed design drawings in AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit.
  • Develop flow diagrams, P&IDs, equipment schedules, and detailed plans and specs.
  • Coordinate design drawings with other trades such as architectural, civil, structural, electrical, and any other building trades utilized on the projects.
  • Perform construction administration duties, including review of shop drawings, submittals, responding to RFIs, and helping to resolve field issues in construction.
  • Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and sizing for the design of HVAC equipment and systems.

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in the MEP industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD MEP. Revit experience is a plus.
  • Professional Engineering License.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to travel to job sites independently.
  • Self-starting nature with the ability to see tasks through completion while meeting project budgets and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stay focused and organized.
  • Good customer service skills.
