Job description

The Creative Services Post-Production Intern will support a range of promotion projects for SportsNet Pittsburgh's broadcasts of Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins games. This role offers hands-on experience focused within post-production and creative in sports media and entertainment marketing.


This is an onsite internship in Pittsburgh, paying $10/hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Shadow to gain a strong overview of the writing, editing and decision-making responsibilities of the Creative Services Producer role.
  • Assist with programming, product and sponsor promotion production projects.
  • Research and compile sports news and storylines for topical promotions and scripts.
  • Review highlight footage and pull selects. Catalog/log selects.
  • Assist in simple editing tasks.
  • Collaborate with Creative Services Writer/Producers and Designers

Required Qualifications:

  • Enrollment as a Junior, Senior or Master’s student in Fall 2026.
  • Availability to work on location in Pittsburgh
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Premiere
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational and time management abilities
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Leadership and team development experience (if applicable)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working on BA/BS/Master’s degree in Production, Marketing, Liberal Arts or TV/Radio/Film
  • Strong understanding of the Pittsburgh sports landscape.
  • Ability to edit, and familiarity with a post-production or production setting.
  • Familiarity with Adobe After Effects
