Job description

Join one of Oahu’s legacy hospice providers. Navian Hawaii is a local non‑profit organization that is driven by our mission to provide care for every stage of life. More than a healthcare job, this is a position with a higher purpose – where you impact people’s lives on a personal, human level.

What you’ll do
  • Serve as complementary physician for hospice patients (home, facility, inpatient)
  • Complete CTIs, face‑to‑face encounters, and related documentation
  • Participate in IDG case discussions for your patients
  • Participate in on‑call coverage blocks
What we’re looking for
  • Hospice/palliative experience preferred
    • HPM board certification a plus
  • Comfortable with independent clinical decision‑making and minimal day‑to‑day oversight
Structure
  • No exclusivity requirement
Team Member Qualities
  • Provides guidance to staff, problem solving support and demonstrates a commitment to quality and corporate accountability
  • Actively participates in staff meetings, department meetings, in‑service training, and other related activities
  • Adheres to all policies, procedures and regulations regarding patient care, conduct, safety, fire, security, risk management and personnel policies
  • Carries out duties and responsibilities of position in a manner that exemplifies excellent customer service
  • Expected to participate in the Performance Improvement Program, Compliance Program, and to comply with Federal and State regulations governing hospice programs
  • Adhere to the organization’s standards of conduct as a condition of continued employment
  • Demonstrates good judgment in seeking and accepting guidance, facilitates clear and honest communication with other team members
  • Demonstrates ethical conduct and judgment that is in harmony with the mission and values of Navian Hawaii
  • Demonstrates ability to execute an effective, supportive, sensitive approach in response to the needs of staff and the patient and family
  • Works harmoniously with a broad range of staff, volunteers, and the community as a representative of Navian Hawaii
