Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will engage in a range of essential activities, including:

• Acting as a liaison between families, children, and outpatient providers to facilitate effective communication and care coordination.
• Interfacing with insurance providers to manage pre-certification requirements and oversee utilization management, ensuring clients receive needed services.
• Taking an active role in discharge and aftercare planning to support clients' transitions from more intensive treatment settings.
• Providing therapeutic meal support, promoting healthy relationships with food and wellness.
• Delivering empathetic and affirming care, tailoring your approach to meet the unique intersecting identities and situations of each client.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus is on serving eclectic populations, which include students from diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly those who may face additional barriers to accessing mental health resources. The successful candidate will be skilled in addressing the needs of young adults and children, creating a safe space for them to express challenges related to school, family dynamics, and personal development.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a valid LCSW license in California.
• Experience working directly with older adults and children is essential for effectively addressing a wide range of mental health concerns.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, demonstrating an ability to assess and formulate treatment plans.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while contributing to a team-focused environment.

Preferred Experience

While the above qualifications are essential, candidates with additional experience in school-based mental health settings, trauma-informed care, or familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems will be prioritized. Familiarity with culturally responsive practices that honor the identities of diverse clients will also be advantageous.
