Job description

Status: Part Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of the Position: We are currently seeking a Part-Time Youth Advocate to provide direct services to youth within the Portland, Oregon area. This role involves supporting youth with behavioral, social, and developmental needs in a consistent, supervised environment.
The Advocate plays a critical role in supporting youth development by serving as a positive role model and delivering individualized, strength-based services using a wraparound approach that engages both youth and their families.
  • Initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services for assigned youth and families
  • Develop and implement service plans using a strength-based, wraparound model
  • Provide supervision, mentoring, and behavioral support in structured settings
  • Build positive, trusting relationships that support youth growth and development
  • Serve as a positive role model in community, school, and home environments
  • Maintain structure and reinforce expectations and routines
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with program requirements

This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay and activity reimbursement
This position will provide services to both community youth and youth in facilities and requires a commitment to 25 hours per week.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and youth involved in the juvenile justice system is a plus.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
  • Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and strong work ethics
  • Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage.
  • Bilingual (e.g., Spanish Speaking) skills a plus.
