What You'll Do

As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our dental providers and ensuring an outstanding experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures.
  • Support faculty, residents, and dental students in delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Capture and process digital radiographs to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for scheduled procedures.
  • Monitor patients during oral sedation and anesthesia procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment to support efficient clinic operations.
  • Follow strict infection prevention and OSHA safety protocols.
  • Assist with instrument sterilization and clinic workflow to ensure smooth patient care delivery.

What We're Looking For

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Dental Assistant I: 1–2 years of dental assisting experience or completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program.
  • Dental Assistant II: 2–4 years of experience or Dental Assisting Program completion plus 2 years of experience.
  • Dental Assistant III: 4+ years of experience, Dental Assisting Program completion plus 3 years of experience, or foreign-trained dentist.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification.
  • Radiology certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience with electronic health records and dental practice management systems.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology and Axium software preferred.
