Job description

Company Description Kitchen Krafter specializes in creating unique, high-quality kitchen and home designs while providing a personalized, comfortable experience throughout each renovation project. With over 30 years of combined design experience, the team collaborates closely with homeowners, contractors, designers, architects, and real estate professionals. The company is committed to customer satisfaction and delivering on its promises from initial consultation through project completion. Kitchen Krafter designs a wide range of spaces, including kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, entertainment centers, home offices, and mudrooms. The team welcomes new clients who value thoughtful design and a reliable, professional partner for their renovation needs.
Role Description The Freelance Kitchen Designer will work full time in a hybrid capacity, with duties based primarily at the Ocean, NJ location and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget, and translating those requirements into functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen and related space designs. The designer will create layouts, select cabinetry and materials, prepare detailed proposals, and collaborate with contractors and other professionals to ensure accurate execution of plans. This role also involves guiding customers through design options, providing clear communication on timelines and expectations, and maintaining high standards of service and follow-through. The designer will contribute to sales efforts by presenting design solutions that align with client goals and support overall business growth.

  • Ability to work both on-site in Ocean, NJ and remotely, managing time and multiple projects independently and reliably.
  • Relevant experience in residential interior design or kitchen and bath design; industry certifications (e.g., NKBA) or related education are a plus.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering designs that meet client expectations and project constraints.
