Onboard quickly, get lay of the land and work closely and independently

Will this person be focused on interaction? Will it be full stack design? Visual design?

Answer: they do have existing design systems, they don''t need to get into pixels of creating new components for system, but they DO need someone who is pretty good with interaction designer with a PRODUCT mindset

They work in a fast moving area, needs someone who go can go toe to toe with product / engineering, not just take direction, someone who has intuition and push back if what they''re being asked to do doesn''t make sense

User experience, interaction, working with predefined product requirements and use cases

Each designer has their own projects that they own independently, but they have regular meetings during week to share status updates

When browsing through portfolios, mostly looking for someone who seems to have experience working on similar products

Portfolios with enterprise products in B2B, fintech, banking space

More functional than visual

Data tables, forms to fill out, going deep into complex workflows

They have to be able to see someone is comfortable being in those spaces (even though it is hard to do in these high regulated spaces)

Years of experience being 3-5 to make sure person has done similar work in a similar space, steer away with people less than 3 years

They will have daily interactions with product and engineering, they are spending more time with those people than with Greg
