Job description

Duties

Serve as the Chief of Identity, Credential and Access Management (ICAM) service element and collaborate with the Cyber Security and Policy Division, Information System Security Officers, Security Operations Center, and Agency/mission organizations.

Lead the direction of the ICAM team on requested services and architecture enhancements, adhering to governance, collaborating on designs to integrate the Agency authentication and authorization infrastructure into NASA business and mission systems.

Identify and follow governance to develop new security architecture standards, including for secure cloud service adoption, and ensure these standards/frameworks are aligned with business strategy. Work with key stakeholders to gain approval.

Provide leadership to the ICAM application business architecture for engineering software and hardware solutions that will meet NASA, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), and federal requirements.

Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends, application and system security threats, and associated patterns and techniques used to mitigate associate threats across one or more enterprise systems.

Coordinate with Workplace and Collaboration Services (WCS) leadership, to ensure service enhancements and new services align with ICAM roadmap, risks, and budget. Provide contractor oversight to include management of their deliverables.

Provide high-level analytical expertise for complex assignments of enterprise-wide scope, including but not limited to, advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes, including representation on requisite governance boards.

Provide leadership to security architecture and design evaluations to determine the adequacy of security design and architecture proposed or provided. Ensure proposed capabilities translate into technical requirements.

Perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.
