Role Description The Field Service Technician is a full-time hybrid role based in Peoria, AZ, with a mix of on-site customer visits and some work-from-home responsibilities such as documentation, scheduling, and remote support. Day-to-day tasks include traveling to customer locations, troubleshooting electrical issues, performing repairs and installations, and ensuring all work complies with local codes and safety standards. The technician will inspect systems, test components, identify hazards, recommend solutions, and communicate clearly with customers about findings and next steps. Additional responsibilities include maintaining tools and equipment, completing accurate service reports, coordinating with the office team on work orders, and supporting continuous improvement of service processes. The role requires reliable attendance, safe driving, and adherence to company policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of residential and light commercial electrical systems, including circuits, panels, wiring, fixtures, and safety devices.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing tools and safety practices.
  • Experience performing electrical installations, upgrades, maintenance, and repairs in the field.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment, managing both on-site visits and remote administrative tasks such as documentation and scheduling.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills, including the ability to explain technical information in clear, understandable terms.
  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to complete accurate service reports and follow work orders.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel locally to customer sites as needed.
  • Commitment to safety, adherence to local and national electrical codes, and willingness to follow company procedures and training.
  • Relevant certification or licensure (such as journeyperson or equivalent) preferred; apprenticeship or on-the-job experience also valued.
  • Ability to work independently in the field, use sound judgment, and collaborate with team members and leadership when needed.
